The Square Restaurant

  The Peak District and surrounding area has many excellent products, Head Chef Greg Wallace has designed his menu to capture some of them for your enjoyment.

All Dishes are prepared using only Finest Fresh Produce Available.
Please therefore understand the Time, Care and Attention
required for each dish.

All meat dishes are cooked pink unless otherwise requested.

Two Courses - £23.95    Three Courses - £27.95

Guests on inclusive terms are entitled to a three course dinner with any supplements and Side orders charged extra

FOWLERS OF EARLSWOOD TRADITIONAL DERBY
Handmade by England’s oldest cheese making dairy.  Natural rinded cheese washed in cider for 3 months then turned and
matured for another 3 months, by Michael Lee

APPLEBY’S CLOTH BOUND UNPASTEURISED CHESHIRE
Arguably the Best, The curds have a slight pink coloured hue due to the unpasteurised cows milk

CORNISH YARG, NETTLE LEAF
Handmade on the Duchy of Cornwall’s Estate, a Semi hard cheese coated in edible nettle leaves, matured for 6 weeks until the leaves turn white.

RIBBLESDALE NATURALLY OAK SMOKED GOATS CHEESE
Handmade by Chris & Ian Hill.  Made using 100% pasteurised goats milk it has a rich white, crumbly curd, which is naturally smoked over oak wood then matured for approximately three months.

SHEPHERDS PURSE YORKSHIRE FINE FETTLE
A Ewes milk soft cheese based on a Greek feta recipe, the cheese is left in water to reduce its saltiness unlike its Greek counterpart.
